Reviews are all over the shop for this film, and as most think about their bank accounts right now, how do you know that what you are walking into is worth your time, and your money? Let’s be honest the trailer of DIGGER does not help sell this movie, and it definitely won’t convince you to come and see it.
So what is it? Without giving away all its tricks, this film is extremely clever. All I can say is it’s the very definition of a farce. ‘A comedic, theatrical work built on absurd, exaggerated and highly improbably situations’.
BUT is this situation improbable???? Art often has permission in culture to call out current truth. In this case a film speaking on political, ethical and environmental truths. It can literally shout out everything everyone ever thinks about a situation, slap in the face, unfiltered, Un-PC and Digger gets away with it all in its context.
So, come and decide for yourself
– is Digger blunt force or a breath of fresh air?
