Hirayama is an ordinary toilet cleaner, but these are no ordinary toilets. These are fancy Tokyo toilets of all different shapes and themes. He’s an ordinary guy who delights in the small things, nature, books and music. Koji Yakusho, plays Hirayama with subtlety and peace.

This movie is very easy going, many might consider it slow but i would just call ‘considered’. Hirayama’s simple life in not without its random interruptions that reveal depth and a bit more plot.
